Paczki Day Is Tuesday February 21st!

That’s right…the official Paczki Day in Canada is coming up fast…Tuesday 21st this year!

Paczki Day falls on Shrove Tuesday, the day before Lent begins and in kitchens all across Poland it’s time to enjoy one last special treat before the fasting
begins.

And the treat of choice in Poland is the revered Paczki (pronounced poonch-key)…the Cadillac of jelly donuts made with a richer sweeter dough and stuffed full to a perfect plumpness with a tart raspberry filling.

We’re doing Paczkis every day leading up to the
official Paczki Day but do make sure you stop in on the 21st to pick up a pack or two of these traditional Polish pastries to take to the office or home to enjoy with tea after dinner!
